Technically, it's a contest, but they give away 250 free cards a day and your chances of winning are pretty darn good. I won a few days after I signed up. Even the shipping is free.

The cards are really nice, and you can design anything you want using common publishing software (MS Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, even MS Word) or use their on-line design tools.

They do have a small ad printed on the back (like all free card deals.)

How large is the message on the back? What does it say?

You don't actually get any cards, you just get on this guys referral list and qualify for spam.

It says "Reorder your Business Cards at Designer Business Cards, Inc. (web site url) patent #5,671,006 100 $19.95 - 250 $42.00 - 500 $62.00 - 1,000 $89.95 (This caption is only printed on winners cards)".

It fills the bottom 1/4 of the back of the card. Personally I didn't like the "(This caption is only printed on winners cards)" phrase, but what the heck, they were free.

Yes, you will be on this guys mailing list, but it's one email a week, mainly listing the names of the winners.

Judging by the web site and emails, I would say this is a pretty small operation, but they do good work. If I actually thought I'd use up these 250 cards in my lifetime, I'd reorder from them.

Well, I won the contest last week, and submitted a scan of the business card design I wanted over the weekend. Had a small email exchange with the card designer because the resoultion was apparently too small, and he couldn't make out the finer details.

So bascially either it *is* a legit enterprise (albeit a small one), or they just wanted to verify my personal info so as to produce more accurate spam. :) The cards were supposedly shipped yesterday, so I'll let you guys know what the cards are like, assuming I get them.

Well, just in case anyone's still curious, I got the cards in the mail today, exactly as described... except fot the rather large message on the back saying I was a winner. <shrug> But I believe that was already mentioned...
