okay, yeah, i know, there's educational stuff... technically that would be "good"... but c'mon...

i remember gobots, voltron, thundercats, he-man, she-ra, gi joe, dungeons and dragons... even teenage mutant ninja turtles... rubik the amazing cube... good fantasy and sci fi stuff!

everything on today is totally lame. were it not for video game violence, my kid would have nothing but a lame childhood to look forward to.

am i missing all the good ones?!?!?! in recent years i have noticed gargoyles (which is now off the air, i think) and power rangers would be cool up to the age of about 6, and reboot and silver surfer and pirates of the darkwater, and i think those last two are now gone, too, and there's the superhero stuff, but when i turn on the tv on a saturday morning, it is 90% lame - live action kids at school stuff (omg, billy said he likes me but now he's holding hands with her!), cartoons about kids at school and nothing friggin cool ever happens... it's all crap!!! the boy will not be happy with blue's clues forever!!!! what am i supposed to tell him? all the good cartoons died and they're never coming back? what happened to swords and guns and spaceships and magic? do today's kids have no imagination?!?!?! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PRECIOUS SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS?!?!?! I SLEEP IN ON SATURDAY FOR A FEW YEARS, AND WHEN I WAKE UP, SOME BLACK HOLE SWALLOWED UP EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOOD AND LEFT ME WITH ENDLESS SAVED BY THE BELL CLONES!!!!

anyway. if anyone knows of anything good on saturday mornings, please share. anyone mentioning playhouse disney or pbs will be hit with a stick until bloody.

I could swear that a few months ago I saw an episode of Dungeons and Dragons on TV. I can't remember if it was Fox or CBS or NBC or if it was Saturday or Sunday. It was around 11 am I think. I was very surprised to see it.

Cartoons suck these days. I have seen what's on the air and I have no idea how anyone can expect kids to like the crap that is on the air. The way the cartoons are drawn is pitiful and storyline .. what storyline?? The TV ppl should just do themselves a favor and bring back all the cartoons that were on the air about ten years ago. That stuff is definitley more appealing than what's there now.

I think Fox and WB have pretty decent Saturday morning cartoons. As for NBC/ABC and the rest, they don't have anything worth watching Saturday mornings.

Spongebob Squarepants is pretty decent sometimes, although I don't watch it much.

I'm with you, though. The pussification of America continues...

"Oh, swords and fighting, it's going to cause kids to shoot skools up and try and jump over moving cars!"

spongebob squarepants is okay, not great, in my *expert* opinion... nickelodeon has some okay stuff. i really like the angry beavers. they act like they are on lsd and they use big words and there's lots of violence :P

the best cartoons are the old bugs bunny
when there was messages from books or stories that a kid would never understand, and when u see those cartoons again, they were twich as funny as before

nothing beats old skoo tom & jerry. y cant they make cartoons like that anymore? fun, pointless violence (it was funny to see Tom get smacked in the head w/ a bowling ball, c'mon!)

Family Guy was great!!! I guess Fox thought that the show's demographic was too narrow (16-25 year old males) :hmm:
