*sigh* nothing better than getting another phat check!

I guess I should squirrel it away. With all the "I just got laid off today" posts around here lately, seems to me I better keep one eye over my shoulder. Then again, maybe not taking any CS in college is beginning to finally pay off!! :)

[bitter rant about being poor]
yeah, whatever mr. pennypinch

i just got paid, and guess how much loot i have left after i pay all my bills.

just guess.

ok, i'll tell ya. $52.79 to last me till next pay check. actually i'm not even sure i have that much, cause my checkbook isn't balancing very well.

isn't that dandy?

and that is including an empty fridge and almost expired metro card.
[/bitter rant about being poor]

so yeah, shush up about it, K?

but, at least i can go sit on the beach on the weekends, which is free. D'OH. i just remembered, it isn't free. GRRR.

Rofl...I got dropped from a dot com, but had a new job by the next day...so my severance actually gave me a bonus :)

I hate bills too...freakin $700 car payments are eating me up...but I still have enough $ to play golf 3 times a week and keep doing what I want to do... :)

What, New York isn't content to take a city income tax, they also decide they're going to charge admission to the goddamn beach?!

If ever there was a state that clearly seemed to be run by a family, it's New York.

actually, no, i think NY's beaches are free, it is the NJ Shore that charges admission.
i think it is $47 for a season pass, or $5 a day. but i need to get a season pass since i have a shore house (which is one of the many reasons why i have NO MONEY.)

and i know, i'm trying not to complain about being poor, its just rough. and if i wasn't such a bone head, i wouldn't be in the situation i'm in now. and it isn't like i live a particularly extravagent lifestyle, just one that is a little above my measly means.

i would love pay day even more if uncle sam didn't decide to take a huge chunk out of my paycheck (50%) for taxes...

does the gov't actually believe that social security is gonna last ?? i dont think so

yeah, not charging for beach access in NJ is an exception, not a rule. they usually sell season passes cheaper during spring for the locals, but they really oughta just let the locals have free access and charge the damn shoobies  (although.. i'm one of them now.. cripes!)

Because my paycheck get direct-deposited every other week, I have basically lost track of when pay day really is! There is something wrong here!

I know WW Crest is, and I haven't been to Strathmere in a long time, but that was still free a couple of years ago.
