namesarecheap (http://www.namesarecheap.com) will register a domain for $14.00 a year, but if you sign up for webhosting for $75.00 a year (or higher plan), they refund the $14.00. 200MB, 50POP3, prolly everything you will ever need including SSL, etc... $25 setup fee tho. Quite a good deal if you need lots of space.
And personally I went with Hostica (http://www.hostica.com), which register a domain for $10 a year, then the $1 per month which gives you 5MB and 1POP3. They have a $10 setup fee, but then they will register your first year for free.
If you find any good deal on web hosting, become to post it here.

Cool deal. They also support MS FrontPage extensions and Real Audio. Looks like I'll switch my hosting when my current year is up.
I may never need 200MB, but it's nice to not have to worry if my web space is getting full!

Registerclub.com will also register the domain for $10 a year. http://www.cfm-resources.com has some free hosting as well as some paid plans. Their paid plans kinda sucked before, now they've outsourced their hosting to verio and now that the dust's settled, it's not half bad. And the prices are pretty reasonable too. I believe they support ColdFusion, PHP, ASP and perhaps others.

Not for adult sites, but doteasy.com (http://www.doteasy.com) has free hosting with pop3. Only 20mb but plenty for family sites or special interests.

I use Directnic.com for my domain registrar. They are $15. year and come with free hosting and other free services. I like their setup a lot and managing my accounts with them is a breeze.
For Web hosting----- Try CIHost.com . They have the best deals that I have ever seen. If you decide to pay annually you get an even better rate. Here is the link to their limited time offers:

Damn! Directnic beat my hostica, and now I feel bad about signing up for hostica. I lost another... seven bux!!! I should have signed up for namesarecheap instead so at least I get the best plan and dun regret anything.
P.S. after reading all the terms, Directnic has a banner if you are not using their hosting plan which is $15 and only 2Gig per year. So it will end up $30. Doteasy is $25 if just register for 1 year. I still get the best deal I think. :)

godaddy.com for domains, only $9/1 year, less if you register for longer. freehostin.com for hosting. $35/year includes domain name, 1 gig/month bandwidth, 50MB space, unlimited pop3's, perl, php, mysql, dedicated ip, great tech support, good uptime. If you need more space/bandwidth, nomonthlyfees is the same exact company with 5 gig/month and 200MB space again for only $35 (but has a $200 1 time setup fee) a year. Beat that.

Does anyone know of any really great deals on eccomerce packages with Miva Merchant included? Also I need a very reliable company. Thanks.

I dont know much about all these different features of hosting but I host also with http://www.hostica.com and when I calculate all the prices of all the other webhosts you are suggesting here, hostica is still the cheapest. (Or did I miscalculate ?) I paid $22 for 1 year domain registration and 1 Year webhosting(the 1 dollar plan) and so far I got no other bill!
And they also have a Miva Merchant package for 39.50/month.
But like I said I'm not very knowledgable about all the features that come with it.

Hmm, this forum is all about getting alot more than what you pay for. I've been using freehostin.com for about a year(with about 20 different domains), and it is definitely good quality.

How about signing up for a free domain name at http://www.namezero.com or http://www.namedemo.com and use http://www.brinkster.com to host your site. When you get your domain name, link it to an empty site that will redirect to your real page in a set period of time, thus removing the banners from namezero or namedemo. Brinkster is free, no ads, ASP support, etc etc

actually i WAS hosted with nomonthlyfees but they sucked! For me it seems like there was downtime at least once a week, and for some strange reason the Control panel keep getting disabled. Not only for me but my friends as well.. I quickly transfered most my sites out of there... Heh anyone wants a nomonthlyfee account for cheap cheap? :)

Madcool? You got a used one that is actually nomonthlyfees? I'll give you the annual fee for it. Just contact me sometime. PS: The control panel does get disabled alot, but all you have to do is drop tech support a line and it is back up in 10-15 minutes.

Annual fee is too little. The account is worth around $150 or something right? I'll let it go for $100 or so.

I got mine from ebay. Lots off cheap hosting.

Yeah, i'd consider $50, but no more. PHPHosting uses shared ip addresses, which means that you can host only one domain(no subdomains) and if anyone visits your site with an older browser (HTTP 1.0 standard), then they will get a pretty error message that you cant avoid.
