from bensbargains

1. Pick up a 2MB Handspring Visor (http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=430654&sourceid=00202418741122467315) and some paper clips (http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=ACC72380&sourceid=00202418741122467315).
2. Use code 11087 for $30 off $150
3. Send for the Handspring $30 rebate (http://www.visor.com/promos/visor2mb_mailinrebate.jhtml) using the original UPC
4. Send for the Staples $50 rebate (http://www.staplesrebates.com/clients/staples/rebates/rebates_list_offers.jsp?findtype=productid&findvalue=29503&url=%2FCatalog%2FBrowse%2FSKU%2Easp%3FBCFlag%3DFalse%26PageType%3D1%26SKU%3D430654) using a copy of the UPC (they accept copies).

Total: $150 - $30 coupon - $80 rebates = $40 shipped

I changed the coupon code to 11087. It should work now.

Staples' monkeys seem to be out and about quickly killing all of the coupons posted on the web. All coupons listed on this site and others, including the code you gave, have been killed.

Every code I tried failed. Either their system is doing some weird maintenance or they killed them all? I called in my order, and they took the 70420 code. Remember, you need to pay tax on the total before rebates, so if you're in CA it's more like $50 shipped (still a good deal).

couons don't work because of the maintanace, it's the only logical explanation

This is an email I received from Tim and fatwallet...

Overnight, Staples removed just about every coupon from their system.... there are two that are in our database that still appear to function as of this time (who knows what happens next!)

$30 Off $150 (Exp 9/15) 11087
$40 Off $200 (Exp 6/3) 11102

I probably won't hear anything more about these changes until Monday, but I'll pass along what I find out!

Can you just fill out the online STAPLES rebate form for the $50 off instead of mailing it in?

Handspring's website is currently down. You don't think they are pulling the rebate, do you? Anyone have a copy they can post?

I just called them and turnes out the right price is $149.98, so you gotta place ur order, and then call them and pricematch it.

I did it and my total was $132 after tax.

I have the handspring rebate saved as a pdf, how do I post it?
By the way it also gives you $50 back if you buy the visor deluxe.

It's all right, jamespf, handspring's site is back up. It was just down for maintenance.

I had the PDA in my basket and overnight it jumped to $180. I took playa's advice and called them, and on their system it shows up as $149. $127 shipped, not a bad deal at all!

I called the Staples Rebate Center on 3 different accounts and talked to 3 different reps. This is what they had to say:

- 2 of them said that I should send the Manafacturer a copy of the UPC, and STAPLES the original UPC. One of the two reps said that if the Manufacturer does not accept the copy, that I should then contact them, and tell them the situation and that should clear things up.

- The third rep said that I should send the Manufacturer the original UPC, and STAPLES the copy. But she also said that I might get a letter from STAPLES saying it's not valid, and that I would just have to send them a copy of the UPC again, and that should then work.

I don't wanna fudge things up, and I wanna get it done right the first time in order not to delay recieving my MULA!! Can anyone who's done this successfully gimme their opinion on what the dilly is?

Brainsmile, it's not over, you can still get in on it. Just call up Staples and ask for it. The CSR said the real price was $149.

Showing out of stock on-line.

Are there any coupon/codes that can be used at B&M stores to get a similar deal?

Thanks!

Heh, looks like they lowered the price to save some money. And it's also out of stock.

I just added it to my cart, and it's now $129.99, so you'd have to put in more than paper clips to get $30 off (I guess you still come out ahead).

81275 cupon works on it. But the $30 visor rebate is expired now. :(

sent the OG UPC to handspring, copy went to staples... they never said it had to be original anyway, and they'd better send the damn refund... or else!

I wish I got in on this when it was $40. Just cracked my SECOND glass handspring screen. This time it wasn't even from a bump or shock...I popped the cover off and it was cracked. What cheap-quality crap. Are Palms any more durable? I've had it with Handspring and their ripoff $85 service charge to replace the glass that should have been made to withstand normal use in the first place.
