I've been wondering if any of the flat panel monitors can be mounted to the wall by the base, then swing outward. This is too complicated to explain. Let me draw a picture.

you can mount LCD's on the wall...

i bought a viewsonic 15'' this week... just for the week... i didn't really like it tell you the truth... the colors were VERY screwed up.... especially on the net....

and.. on top of that.. the scroller on the mouse.. drove me INSANE>... cause when I would scroll... it would be VERY choppy... which gave me a headache after 2 or 3 hours....

i wouldn't buy one just yet... thats why i returned it

I've been contemplating about whether or not to get an LCD monitor and the conclusion I'm coming to is that I don't think it's worth it. The price is high and the picture quality isn't all that great. I rather spend that money and get a flat panel monitor like the SOny Trinitron. I guess an LCD would be good if I'm strapped for desk space.

If you don't stare at a monitor all day reading lots of text, then LCD's aren't for you.

From what I can tell, its basically best for reducing eye strain.

A flat panel reduces eye strain just as well as an LCD. I rather buy a kick ass 21" Sony Trinitron than a 15" LCD. All you out there who agrees with me give me a hoorah!

The slow scrolling effect is annoying at first, but I got used to it after half a week or so. Now I can't stand the curve on normal crts.
