MyPoints was purchased by the internet division of United Airlines (UAL).

UAL will use the technology to supplement their Mileage Plus program.

Therefore, this will likely evolve from a generic system to one more specifically oriented towards travel (like ClickRewards).

Many MyPoints certificates started to cost more June 1 anyway (making redemptions less valuable). I was very impressed that they published the new values and gave people 30 days warning before this happened.

Likely this means less non-travel MyPoints programs and more opportunities to earn them for travel expenses.

I wish I would have had a little advance notice on this deal... Could've bought MYPT at 75 cents a share 4 weeks ago. Today it's at $2.50.

I have been a MyPoints user for my years and so they gave me some IPO stock. Tripled my money a few weeks later. Cashed out and boy am I glad I did.

How long does it usually take to receive a prize from them that you've gotten from redeemed points? I've been waiting over a month for a webcertificate.

I usually receive my certificates within 2 weeks of redemption.

Usually two weeks. I got over $100 bucks worth of webcertificate! Woo hoo paid for my gameboy advance!
