The website states "While Supplies Last"
I'm betting "supplies" wont make it through the lunch hour.

I wonder if I can use their online ordering system...

That way I can just drive from Togo's to Togo's and avoid the lines.

I'm not getting one!

Nowhere does it say that ONLY CA stores are takeing part of the promo!

And the one and only Togo's in Vegas is not doing it because "it's only CA stores".

*pout*

Here's the list of NON-participating stores:

http://www.togosspeedlunch.com/togosonline/non_partic_stores.asp?dept_id=&

They're all in CA.

No participating stores in San Diego. An employee told me that the closest was Orange County.

I wonder how many people will go to Togos, be denied the free sandwich, and still buy one!

chrissy
06-20-2001, 02:58 PM
heh... i called :) so I wouldn't have to drive 10 miles to be denied

Twilight

WooHoo! I got mine! There was a F-ing banner outside that said "FREE Sandwich". There was a line out the door, and they were only letting people in when people came out. Tastes good, but needs mayo!

Blue1999Si

There was only like 10 people at the most in line. I arrived at 4:50 and was out the door by 5:07..

Oh, they also had a raffle for some coupons. If you buy a drink, and chips ($2.03) they would give you a raffle ticket. Thanks for the free lunch MistaSorry!!!

P.s. that sucks for the non-participating places. Turlock, CA was where I was.

Glad to hear a few of you got in on it. Do you think that if it wasn't free, you would pay for it?

my mom got her free pastrami sandwich for lunch yesterday. i didn't, since i hate pastrami. my sister called me up to see why the hell magic 106.7 was out at the dunkies (dunkin donuts) down the center of town. i figured it was because of togos, and the free sandwich, and i was right. kinda crazy, cause i live an hour away from there yet i still figured out why the radio station was there.

it was 5:45pm, in fremont CA. the weather must have been in the 90's........maybe reaching 100's. people are lining to the outside of the store........crazy i might add.......probabably 25++++people outside alone in the heat. Sorry, i turned my car around and headed for Costco!!!!!!

the togos sandwich was yummy :)

i don't know how you could have gotten it for lunch though b/c the promo was good only between 5p - 8p here (west coast) the line was out the door but it went pretty quickly. i waited about 10 minutes to get through the whole line.

it took us 30min to go through it in Torrance CA

They were making custom sandwiches if you wanted to delete ingredients. (ex. I didn't want the flesh of any creatures with wet noses)

At first location, there was a line of about 60 people at least 10 minutes prior to 5pm. The sandwiches makers were total machines and they were able to grind out at least 6/min so the line just flew.

Second location had long line so I drove by.

Third location had fairly short line but they made the free customers stand outside and then only let them in a few at a time. Pretty quick sandwich work, but not as good as the first.

Fourth location had medium line and it moved at ok speed.

At 2 of the 3 I went to, they were noting whether you were a prior customer (on a different day) and it seemed to be about a 50% split.

 Interestingly, TOGOs here in Lafayette CA is not at all busy at that time. No lines to speak of whatsoever.
