Wow! I was expecting this place to be a total ripoff. What a deal.
This was the place where you paid $12.50 or something to sign up and then they would pay your ISP bill up to about $22 each month (or $15 if you had a free ISP).
I haven't yet received my money, but I did get the survey and it seemed legit. It was about snack foods and seemed similar to others I had done for Greenfield and such.

If you want to sign up, get the referral code from Apex (I can give you mine, but I don't want to rip him off).

I signed up at least 1 month ago (about a week or so before Apex announced).

Also, I listed my AOL account (but used my free Excite email as my email).

I finally got mine today!! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif Does anyone know how long it takes them to credit your account?

MisterNexTag
05-08-2000, 01:57 PM
Well, as of this moment, I have still not seen money in my account (I just checked online).
I normally see credits within 1-3 days of them being requested.
Has anyone seen any money yet?

I signed up when Apex posted it on his Deals page. I got notification that my first survey was ready today and just filled it out. It was 18 questions of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.

No money yet, but I have faith in them for some reason.

Hey, I got the same survey. Perhaps we're in the same demographic category.

What's up with the $15.95 'membership fee'? I want the $22, but making me pay makes me wonder....

I got the financial planning one. Why does it seem like they are exaggerating when they say that they have more surveys than are being distributed? Seems to me that there are only two surveys out there--snacks and financial planning! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif

MisterNexTag
05-17-2000, 02:02 AM
Uh oh...

Maybe it just takes them a while, but I STILL do not see the money in my account (I can check the line items online and they post almost immediately after they are requested)

Anyone actually got the cash yet?

Apex - when should I start to worry? I would hate for this to be another interminable wait like CyberRebate

My credit hasn't posted yet either. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif

Ya I emailed them awhile ago asking about credit and I got:

It takes approximately two weeks after the survey closes for credits to be issued.

Thank you,

so when does the "survey close"? Is it just a matter of waiting 3 weeks total or could it potentially be several months? (especially if they need many responses and have few suckers [er, members])

Due to an error on our part, the answers to the last survey you
filled out online were not saved properly. Unfortunately, we
request that you answer the survey a second time in order to
receive the proper credit for completion of the survey. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The
survey will be available until 05/31/00.

Thank You.

I just received THREE copies of that email (it was their mail server error, not mine)

Perhaps they need some programming assistance.

As always, you can find the best deals at the <a href="http://www.nextag.com/serv/gotapex/buyer/OutPDir.jsp">GotApex/NexTag.com </a> site.

Well I got a notice from them that my survey dident go through and I had to redo it again. Has anyone else had this also ?

yongoro
05-19-2000, 09:37 AM
Now they say they found it. Oh well, I had already filled out the form again. At least they are promising to "rush" the payments after 5/31.

MisterNexTag
05-19-2000, 02:03 PM
Actually the exact text was:

Dear MisterNexTag,
We appreciate your patience in having to resubmit your last survey.
The notice went out without a link to the survey and caused us to get
thousands of emails that we will not answer because 95% are being
answered with this notice. If you had other matters in your email please
send them with a subject matter other than 'survey error' to [email protected]
Better news is that we were able to recover the data from the completed
surveys and those of you that had completed it will not need to retake it.
The additional security we had put in place to protect against the LoveBug
virus caused some data capture problems which have now been resolved. We are
going to leave it open to give the members that missed it a chance to now
finish it. The survey was to be open until the nineteenth and is now open
until the end of the month.
We will rush the payments through as soon as it closes.

I just tried to log in and got this error...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

The log file for database 'Survey' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.

I got my survey yesterday (snack food) and got the database errors too. Figured that the server was overwhelmed because they probably did something really smart like send everyone's email alert out on the same day. Anyway, I logged in this morning and had zero troubles.
