Heh, got a beef with CyberRebate, the latest scam to roll over the unsuspecting dozer on the net. Were you taken.?? You need to get your dispute in with you Credit Card Co. & I mean NOW. Go to http://communities.msn.com/CyberRebateRecoveryAlliance or how about http://communities.msn.com/DiscoverSucks (We knew that) They will tell you how to file a dispute and get your $ back!!!!!!!!! or how about, http://communities.msn.com/NextCardCyberRebate (They Suck too.)

Not sure if you have been lurking for a while, but several months before CyberRebate failed several people on this board (including a lawyer at a firm that already had a pre-bankruptcy case) had been warning about their imminent failure. If you ordered and received merchandise, then the credit card company isn't liable. If you are suggesting that the rebate was the "lure", then can I get a discount off my meal at Hooters if the waitresses aren't busty enough? (after all, that was the lure to get me to buy an overpriced burger). What if I go to Planet Hollywood for a $20 burger and don't see any celebs? Can I get my money back?

It sucks that you lost money, but the $6000 flat screen monitor and the $169 DVDs should have tipped you off that it was bogus. If not, feel free to buy the 61" TV for $299 on the Deals page.

-Don't be silly Lone, of course you wouldn't get your money back in those cases!!; those businesses didn't guarantee you that you would get any money back if they waitresses didn't have as big of chests as you would have liked and they did not offer you any money back if you did not see any movie stars. Cyberrebate DID, however, offer ALL its customers with their guarantee that if they submitted the proper forms they would indeed receive money back.

You are out of the loop and your exa,ples don't hold water as I just illustrated. To become more informed I suggest you read the cyberrebate information available at the msn forums.

I agree that Sue's comments are a little...off but there are a lot of people (many at got apex) who bought into the whole cyberrebate thing. For some, cyberrebate worked like clockwork all the time and they had no problems with them ever...until cyberrebate declaired bankrupcy. So you are way off base to be putting all cyberrebate customers down.
