I am happy with my Verizon (formerly GTEi) aDSL. My current plan is $39.95/mo (32.50 for DSL line = = $7.45 for ISP). Hopefully this deal is still around, but I don't know. They are a decent 768/128 provider at that price ( I got an older deal almost 3 yrs ago with Free External DSL Modem + Free Install> Deal Expired)

But just in case you are in a Verizon DSL area, and maybe are going to get DSL anyways, our friends at Staples have buried a deal for you: http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=445208

Its an internal PCI DSL Modem for 169.98 with a $170. rebate, and you can use Staples $30 off $150 (or pump up order to take advantage of $40 off $200), and make some money. Offer expires 6/30/2001.

You have to call Verizon anyways to see what the 'New Customer' Rates/Installation is. But as I see it, free modem, maybe make $30, IF you are going to get Verizon anyways. [sorry, i am unable to test if deal works, but it looks legit]

Interesting, that staples link said DSL is not in my area and yet I have had it since December of 99. Unfortunately I just moved, and since my old house had the splitter outside, I needed to get the new filters and such and sign up again for another year since they are sending out the filters, a new modem and the PC camera for free. No rebates, but the new rates are $49.95, I was also paying $39.95 at my old house, and I just moved 10 miles away.
