Q: I recently took my 12-year-old daughter and her friend to the Century 23 Theatre. They were too old for the children's admission, so I asked for student admissions. The person at the box office asked them for student ID cards. I explained that my daughter's school does not issue student IDs, but that didn't matter, and they were charged the full general admission price. This doesn't seem right, but the person I spoke with said she was the theater manager and not some "flunky employee" -- her words, not mine. Is this in fact Century Theatres' policy?

I can get discounts on movies because I'm a student?!!! They don't post this at any of the registers. I've been paying full general admission like a moron!!! ARGH!

Lots of theaters have students admission (General Cinema being the exception). Id say most do. But stil a kids price is better. Its best to go with a group of 5 or 6, and have one person byu the tickets, 1 student and 5 kids. Its cheapest thata way

i worked for a theater that does the same thing. just go when the "flunky employees" are manning the ticket booth since they dispise their boss for calling them "flunky employees."

also, a paper with school letter head saying they goto school, or report card should work.
