Guys please help me out here, has anyone ever read Anais Nin? I need analysis of "Under a glass bell", because i am trying to prove that she is rewriting Edgar Allan Poe's Fall of the House of Usher by showing similarities.... which is a totally stupid assignement.
Anyways any help would be appreciated

How about:
"Anais Nin is a smart, foxy chick. Not only was she good in bed, but she realized that plagarisim was wrong. Therefore, there is no way she copied Edgar Allan Poe."

Try your library's reference section on literary criticism, and a good search engine. 2 or 3 seconds on Google gave me this citation:
Tytell, John. "Anais Nin and 'The Fall of the House of Usher,'" Under the Sign of Pisces: Anais Nin and Her Circle, 1 (1970), 5-11. [The basic situation and many of the details of Nin's "Under a Glass Bell" and Poe's "Usher" are "remarkably similar"; Nin seems to have attempted "a
modern version of Poe's classic tale of suspense and horror."]
Now be very good and don't plagiarize.

I feel even stronger that you should go the opposite way. If you cross your prof and have a reasonable argument he will have to respect you for it.
It will also help you with any plagarisim allegations (which all of your fellow brownnosers will be subject to)

Yep, you are screwed! I suggest that you just write an unoriginal paper that basically summarizes your prof's works with lots of nice quotes from him.

I can't man, it's just wrong on so many levels, i put that quote that you found at the endbut out of spite. Now he wants us to read Junkie, on the road, and one of his books by monday... that close to 1000 pages, and he wants us to write a paper too, i can't believe this, and this ******* has tenure so you can't even go to the chair of the dept.

That's why my advanced degrees are from diploma mills.
The only math you have to do is writing out the check and the english final is addressing the envelope.
