Any deal(s) on VCR's?

My vcr just went kablooey on me. Anyone know of a good deal on vcr's?

I also just started looking for a new VCR. Put one in the bedroom, so I want to put a new one in the living room, nothing too fancy , but an upgrade.

The JVC HR-S3800U is $149 (Free shipping @ Vanns.com)
It's SVHS with Svideo in/Out, The 11 people that rated it at Vanns rate it pretty high.. but I checked http://www.epinions.com they dont list this model, but some others that are close dont get rated very high.
From what Ive found in my quick research, is that others with the same features cost quite a bit more...

Interested if anyone has any info about players around this price range. I dont think Im so interested in SVHS, as I use a Tivo to do any recording. The Svideo in/out is nice though.
