ok, my sis just got back from greece, and one of the things she brought me is this bead game. Its on a chain about as big as a necklace. Your supposed to flip it around and move one bead at a time. Anybody able to give me more info???

game???
:hmm: never heard of it being used as a game.
In Iran (and probably other middle eastern countries) they're used for meditation... basically you move a bead over every time you say your "montra".

It is said in Greek mythology that anybody who flips the sacred bead necklace around moving one bead at a time like a game will be cursed with eternal bad luck, same goes for all his family members, friends, and internet buddies....

The Jews of Ancient Israel gave it to the Greeks. While the Greeks were busy puzzling over the beads, the Jews slaughtered them and kicked them out of their country.
Too bad the palestinians are too stupid to understand the bead game or they would be slaughtered too.
and they like Debbie Gibson.

They haven't managed to solve that conflict in over 2000 years, I don't think that we'll make much progress by batting around insults on this board.

Considering the reasons for the attacks, I can hardly take sides with an occupying force. If they don't want to be bombed, maybe they should leave the Palestinians alone.

You are presently LIVING in an occupied country.
How would you like it if your family became a target?

old people in greece use thebeads alot..they are just something to fidget with...like the paddleball thing that mr myagi uses in the karate kid...stress reliefe and stuff.
as far as the palastinian thing is concerned...i dont think its worth discussing..there is no solution it is just a question of two stubborn peoples who dont wanna share.

Its kinda like froggystyle said... theres no real point to it... its just to fidget around with. All you do i hold it in one hand and pass the beads over the little gap with your fingers. (kinda hard to discribe)

I just have one thing to say....
Just because American television doesn't show the actions of the other side doesn't mean that they are completely innocent.
