I want to keep using their websearch for downloading stuff instead of their deasktop media agent because it doesn't work for me. They limit the amount of web searches you can do though. How are they able to know how many times I've used their search? Do I have to delete a cookie or something?

Look for the cookie named [email protected][1].txt

It will say something like:

WkcSearchCount 3 http:/www.kazaa.com/ 0 4220688768 29435717 1492418784 29423646 *

Just change the number after WkcSearchCount to 1 or something less than 12!

why not use the desktop media agent instead?? I didn't want to at first either but it has 1 really great feature... It lets you download the same file from several people at the same time to speed up the transfer.

and actually, you could probably just delete that cookie too. It's worth a try.

I figured he meant that he doesn't like it or something... "it doesn't work for me" could have several meanings. (actually i'm just trying to cover up the fact that i was too lazy to read his post completely :D)

I like the service, but it seemed like I actually got more from the website than from the desktop agent. I never thought I would praise iMesh, but compared to KaZaA, it has more files available for download, so until the user base grows, KaZaA probably won't be my first choice for file searches. Besides, winMX is probably the best alternative to Napster anyways.

i have yet to find a good napster alternative for songs... but for video's (music and others) nothing beats kazaa
