Short version....

see deal on exercise bike

decide to get it

order it

recieve it...happy!!!!

start assembeling it...piece missing!!!!!

call....get RMA

disassemble jonny 5 (no disassemble!!! arrrggghhh) <--- sorry im in an odd mood

wait about a week for UPS to pick up bike.

3 weeks pass

stay home from work to accept the package (no, i dont get paid, so im losing money)

box looks in ok condition, but not taped properly.

open box...surprised to see an additional box that wasnt there last time

It has screws in bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

take items out of box

see a nut and a washer type thing in bottom of box.

start to assemble...find 4-6 pieces missing yet again

call for RMA

stay on hold for close to 30min

get pissed

talk to supervisor....fill out RMA form (roger didnt make me do this last time, fuckin ****)

now have to wait (they claim 3 days...yeah right) 7 days for ups to pick this shit up.

might put in a brick or two to add to the weight, make it more expensive for them to ship.

Are you dealing with the manufacture?

I know they will sometimes ship the missing parts to you no charge. Might be an option instead of waiting for everything from the dealer. Might not have to miss work.

Yep, I'll second that. I bought a computer desk that was missing an accessory pack. Called the mfg. and had one in like 3 days. No hassell. :D

the following is my action log from buying a barebones Athlon system for a friend of mine from Accessmicro:

[Mostly Done]Accessmicro: missed FDD, KB, mouse, and invoice for order ***3024, 1ZA854T5034019****, called 800-906-6868 and talked to Louis. He said that he would email shipping and find out the status of the parts and try to have them ship those parts out to me. (5-10-01) He should email in a day or two.
(5-15-01) No email yet. Called again and spoke to Louis again, Said to go to Accessmicro RMA web site and fill out form.
(5-16-01) Filled out RMA form and emailed back per Louis’ instructions. SN=******799
(5-24-01) Have not heard anything. Called customer service. CSR said that they (prolly Roger) would email by the end of today.
(5-24-01) Got email from Roger Reyes [email protected] . (x104) and provided him with the order details.
(5-29-01) Called Roger. He said he “hasn’t touched this order” “NO TIME”. I asked to speak to his supervisor.
(5-29-01) Spoke with CSR supervisor (Tanya) x123 - will email returns supervisor-will ship parts and invoice.
(6-5-01) Have heard nothing-called and left message for Tanya. Called back after one hour. She talked to shippinh manager who told her that the floppy, KB, mouse has been shipped and signed for. She said she would call UPS and then call back. Also said that she would take care of rebates. She will mail invoice and she would take down the invoice/rebate information.
(6-11-01) Finally received invoice and rebate material, including letter from Tanya to “Lizelle(?)” explaining the rebate/invoice situation. Still have not seen floppy drive, or mouse. Invoice #=***515 (mailed same day)
(6-11-01) called Tanya, left message to call me about fdd and mouse.
(6-18-01am) called Tanya, left message to call me about fdd and mouse.
(6-18-01pm) called Tanya again, left another message to call me about fdd and mouse.
(6-19-01am) called, got Tanya’s voice mail so I called back on the regular CSR number. On hold for >30 minutes! Hung up and went looking for McGlen’s phone number-800-899-8849
Called McGlen-talked to operator-transferred to Tanya. Shipping out next day air, tracking number=1ZA854T5034213****.
(6-20-01) received UPS package with mouse and keyboard. No floppy drive. I give up. We’ll see about the rebate…
