soundcard/bass/new speakers

I just bought some new labtec speakers with a subwoofer and the bass is really weak. i took them to my friends house (he has SBLive) and the bass is really good. if i could get a bass control in my volume control from the toolbar, i think i could make it sound better. right now, i dont want to buy a 100 dollar SBLive card. is there anything i can do without spending that much?

What sound card are you using? For the sound settings go into your control panel, click on the volumes icon. Find where it says advanced under the overall volume, and there you can adjust your bass.

Buy a Creative Live Value if you really want a new sound card and don't want to spend much money.

i dont have an advanced tab... thats the problem. otherwise i would be able to boost the bass easily. anything else?

Open up your Volumes window, click on File, then click on Advanced. (that should bring up the different Advanced tabs available)
