*bows head in silence*
sometimes i get the feeling that some of the younguns these days do not fully understand the importance of someone like john hooker. sometimes i will get the "before my time" response. well, i tell ya....most of the greats were before our time. but without them, we wouldnt have the music that we have today. i don't know what we would have, but it prolly wouldnt be as interesting.
john lee hooker, you will be missed.

Yeah, my workmate across the cubicle divide worked as a cocktail waitress at his club in SF for some time. She was pretty shaken up by the news. I haven't heard much of his stuff, myself, but realize what an influence he was.

Hmmm I know I have heard his music before, but I can't bring any to mind. How about some track suggestions?
esdee, i'll bring some by sometime.
in the meantime, check out "boom boom", "boogie chillin", and anything on "chill out"

if you watch TV, you've heard his stuff...many commercials use his tunes, 'boom boom' being only one of them.
