Anyone else on the west coast just get an emergency broadcast on their TV about a possible tsunami? I'm confused. It didn't say it was a test of the emergency broadcast system; it said a tsunami watch had been issued for Lane County. I'm gonna guess that it was a mistake, since they're not interupting the broadcast of '12 Monkeys' to bring me info on how to build a boat. Hopefully this doesn't have anything to do with the earthquake today in Peru.

Nothing about it on Weather.com, but remember Godzilla is attracted by Tsunami's.
I just saw that they called them and then cancelled them.
Actually the weatherperson said there was not a real risk in San Francisco because the waves wouldn't be much above normal.

Woah.. there was just a teaser for the 11:00 news; they said the tsunami watch has been cancelled... so aparently there really WAS a tsunami watch. Damn.

For anyone who cares... it is because of the earthquake in Peru. They've called off most the tsunami watches, but individual counties have to make the call themselves. The two tv news broadcasts I saw said that they may re-issue the watches/warnings tonight, but they're not expecting anything major.

I tried lookin for it on some San Diego news websites. I didn't see anything about it. I wonder if it was just up your area Twilight?
If anyone has any good links feel free to post them.
