Midi has got to be the worst. It's always tinny sounding. And the songs really are terrible at that site.
Sorry, it's not your fault.
I spend at least two nights a week at various restaurants that have Karaoke. Guess what is the most popular song? Actually, there are about three or four that first timers want to perform...............
There may be a website that lists these popular songs, but I can only go by my experience.

that websight is pretty cool-too bad the words scroll faster than the music. I'm guessing the number one karaoke song is FEELINGS.

For newbies singing, most of the time it is done in a group. Sometimes they are singing 'I've got friend's in low places', others sing pop songs that they are comfy with. My first song was 'crazy for you' by madonna. A lot of pple sing that one for thier first actually (at least they did where I hung out).

Careless Whisper..... Do you realize how HARD that is? I do Father Figure and that is one of the most difficult songs that I do. When it comes to range, I find the following are the most difficult to perform:

AEROSMITH
BRYAN ADAMS
PETER CETERA
JOURNEY
DARRYL HALL
STARSHIP

When you think of the answer, think CORNY, really CORNY!!

ugh. a few too many drinks and a whole lot of people made paradise by the dashboard light seem like a wicked good idea. but the song never ends! and i'd like to remind you that the more alcohol ingested, the better you sound, at least to your own ears :)

I do that song well!

There was a guy in HS that sang the song with me... J. Sinn. OMG that boy could sing! To bad he ruined it for himself.

We had fun with it.
