You can't possibly say that. There is no concept that I have seen that looks like this piece of chit.

A big shot from Chrysler Corporation retired and is attempting to start up an exotic sports car manufacturing company (GOOD LUCK). Anyway, a magazine recently did an interview with him about the state of the car industry. He said that a lot of the concept cars look like UGLY APPLIANCES. Couldn't agree with him more. Sure, there are a few really nice concept cars, but most of them look like they were designed by a first grader who is just learning how to draw.
With the variety of cars available from throughout the world, there are very few original designs in most of them. If you took a side view of most of the cars, cut out the outline of each one of them and compared them, you wouldn't find much of a difference at all.

It looks like that car could double as a salt shaker.

You know, it kind of looks like something that belongs in Legoland or something to that nature.

I'll bet you he was talking about Mosler. Those guys build some of the world's cheapest, fastest, BUTT-UGLIEST cars. Check out the Raptor or the Intrudor. Split windshields? But it looks like they've finally hit a good design with this new MT900 thing. They got some guy off the Corvette design team, and he knows what he's doing, so hopefully I'll actually see a Mosler on the road one of these days.

Exactly the thought that came to my mind.

I will see if I can scrape up the article on the ex-Chrysler guy. They had a picture of the prototype and is was very nice. I doubt that he'll succeed. Way too many people have had visions of building an affordable gorgeous sports car and have failed miserably. Either the market was too narrow, the car didn't look right, the project became too expensive, or the car was unreliable.

You are right, the Raptor is an ugly beast, as are most limited production cars. Even most of the Kit Cars are gross. The days of Larry Shinoda and Enzo Ferrari may be over but I hope not. Those guys had a flair for knowing what looked right and what didn't.

By the way, what do you think of the newer Corvette design? I personally think it is drop dead ugly!! It's almost as bad as the 1974-1977 Corvette design.

Heheh, well, we may agree on the Raptor, but I really like the new Vette (and the '74-'77 Vettes, too). Sorry, but I guess it's always "to each his own."

Don't think I've ever seen an ugly Ferrari, though...
