Never really understood reincarnation, but I would believe that it has something to do with when you die that your soul is placed in a NEW body.

I would think that this was a body that wasn't presently occupied.

This story http://news.excite.com/news/r/010628/09/odd-lizard-dc makes me think otherwise.

Please enlighten me.

The truth is what you can get people to believe. If it makes everybody happy, then I for one think it's cool.

well, i guess it could be semantics. but i thought that reincarnation could happen with an occupied host. i never thought about what would happen to the displaced soul tho. i used to have some stuff on it. if i find it, i will post

I wouldn't think you could be reincarnated into a body already occupied by another soul. Wouldn't that be possession and not reincarnation?

A great example is the passing of the Dalai Lama's position. The instant he dies, his souls is supposedly transfered to a child that is born at that exact second. I'm unsure of how they decide who the kid is, but they do.

Just my $.02

that was the semantics i was talkin bout. but if you displace the other soul, then it would be reincarnation.

be very careful what doors you open for yourself; always remember that traffic moves in both directions
