Woohoo... finally moved outta my Bro's place today. And, believe it or not, the Cox guy showed up EARLY!!! (like 10 min early). Cable rocks: 1.6 down (supposed to be up to 3mb down - haha), and 290 up, (supposed to be only 256 up, not like its that great or anything, but it still is better than dialup! )

So, I'm sitting here on the floor, the computer and monitor on the floor, and the bed in the closet, cause they didn't clean the carpet as good as they should have. And it smells like smoke in here, but it'll air out pretty soon.

It's just a little "studio" Apt., but I gots me own dishwasher, and washer/dryer combo. $325/month. +bills.

The damn Cox guy was sooo stupid. he was almost blindly clicking on different network settings and stuff (i didn't let him install their software) and wouldn't just go and set it to DHCP and let IE detect the settings and load a page. I think the other guy that was with him knew more about it, but i think he was baing "trained" byt this other dumbass.

Ahh well, I kept a close watch, and not I'm on a Linky router, into a 16port switch, of which sadly I'm still only using 1 port.

**Hapoo**, sorry dude, but I had to redirect my URL to the new IP here at COX, and the DNS servers won't update until tomorrow at 6am, so until then, your sig and mine won't show up.

Peace out!

oh, hehe, almost forgot... the walk-in closet is big enough to make a nice "total darkness" gaming room :D

200KB/sec download and 36KB/sec upload. Not bad. Is that capped now? Last I knew Cox wasn't capped. Without it capped you can get much more than that at certain times in the night. :) But then at busy times it goes down A LOT. :(

Sounds like a nice place, though.

Hapoo, dood, your gonna have to use port 1088 instead of port 1080... I think COX is blocking port 1080 for some reason ( i think a trojan uses it or something).

so just go change the 1080 on in the URL to 1088 :)

I was thinking the same thing, my cousin pays almost $600 a month for a studio.

hehe

yeah, if i had signed up a month earlier, it would have been only $299 / month.

bummer for me.

The regular is $349 for that apt, but I've seen studios go for as high at $400 dependin on the area of the city (oklahoma city)
