Hello, i got my cingular service back when it was pac bell last december. i was reading on anandtech, and some people are saying that the unlimited nights and weekends is now for 9pm to 7am instead of 8pm. Does anyone know where i can find any info about this change if there was one, or if it affects my currect plan? Thanks

Yep, it's 9 pm... I was told that it was 8pm when I purchased my plan, but I called up Cingular and inquired about it and they told me that it was 9. Ah well..

when i signed up with cell one, before it was cingular, nights started at 8. now according to cingular, they start at 9. i've noticed on my bill, however, that call i make between 8 and 9 still show up as off peak on my bill, but not on my sisters bills, who signed up after cell one changed over.

I have Cingular free nights and weekends. It was changed from SNET about 6 months ago. It has always been 9pm on my snet plan so I was used to it.
That is sorta crummy though that they changed it. I bet if you have a contract stating that it starts at 8:00 though then you could dispute the charges if you had any based on the contract wording.

Even if it is in the contract the contract might have provisions for changing if the company is acquired by another one, which is the case here.

Dear Jameel,
Thank you for taking the time to email Cingular Wireless Customer Care
regarding your inquiry.

If your current rate plan offers nights beginning at 8:00 PM you are
grandfathered into that plan. Which means you may keep this rate plan as
long as you like.

Please visit our web-site at http://www.cingular.com often for the latest
updates and current promotions available. We know you have a choice when it
comes to digital service. We appreciate and thank you for choosing Cingular
Wireless.
