Jammed my finger in the gym, while doing the fly and now my nail is black and hurts like a bitch....ugggh :angry::angry::mad3:

the doctor sterilized a paperclip and punctured his fingernail

it hurt like a mofo but it relieved the pressure and was able to start healing faster.

I saw a nurse do that once to a toenail. Blood spurted about 6 feet, maybe a little more. It was increadably gross!

Thanks Kim, the stupid thing filled up with blood and i thought about like puncturing it with a syringe needle, but the thing is, i don't want to puncture my nail and i can't even touch my pinky so i can't even puncture it under the nail..... damn stupid thing, it turned black already and i am pretty sure my nail will come off anyway. It happened to me before once, this kid that was my parents friends son, asked me if i could pick up the whole weight on the butterfly machine, you know the one were you sit down and do the thing with your arms for your chest, so anyways i put the 275 that was on there, but this kid thought it would be funny that while i was sitting down he would pull the pin out of the weights, so to make a long story short, i slammed my finger with all might, it was an equavalent of slamming it with a sledgehammer. SO i was like to the kid, dude bring me ice, and he brought me one god damn cube of ice, can you immagine i wanted to kill him.

if you don't want to lose your nail, you'll have to poke the area fille with blood with a heated up paperclip. Happenned to me last year and it feels so much better afterwards since you release the pressure.

This happened to me a few years ago. My finger swelled up to twice its size. After the doctor punctured the fingernail everything was fine.

It happened to me before my nail came off, plus i think it's too late because the blood has already clotted

hah check this out... the same thing happened to one of my friends and her dad knew that the nail needed a hole so he grabbed the drill with a small bit and did the job himself :heh:

I did a similar thing to my big toe with a swimming pool lane divider. My dad (a physician) made me take a drill and lighty go through the nail. It was un-nerving, but I felt much better when it was done. And yes, the blood did squirt a nice distance. (I had to wash it off the ceiling when I was done.) - Hope that helps
