This looks like it will be fun and a quick $100 for about an hour's work. I signed up at: http://www.talkcity.com/ some few weeks ago. Talkcity is a B-2-B that provides consumer feedback to e-business websites via virtual focus groups.
I had to fill out an online survey that covered my personal demographics info together with my career data. This time I didn't even have to impersonate a CIO or whatever. Apparently my real IT (and Net user) qualifications were solid enough to get me in.
You folks should check this site out. BTW.. there are MANY others just like them out there.
Now if I could only set up 5 of these kind of group participation deals each day, I could go from semi-retirement to full retirement! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif

P.S. If it makes you guys feel any better work still sucks when your 50!

Yeah...it IS a good feeling....maybe I should have referred to my situation as virtual (another pun?) retirement. I'm really not working and haven't been for over 3 years, but the $%#@&* NASDAQ is screwing up my plans
Oh well....I still have faith that good old American IT will save us all!

I know how you feel, man. I'm 21, graduating from college within a week, and taking a career path into Risk Consulting. I started investing 9 months ago with $10,000 and increased my net worth to $62,000 by mid-March. At that point, I was considering retiring by the time I hit 30. I am now worth less than $20,000. Crazy, isn't it? My plans got screwed by the NASDAQ also. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/eek.gif

Well, so far my um, heh short term investments are paying off very well. i am 37 and retired. Some small oilfield companies are rising and dropping every 3 months or so and I have been lucky enough to cash in (I am either waiting for the other shoe to drop and or the BIG DOG to jump up and BITE ME!! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif )
Hey is'nt it funny how a post can go into a different subject on such a wild tangent :P

ok, sbp was feeling old before, but maybe you two will help him feel a little better. There was a post in the off-topic forum having to do something with "are there really any old fogies here?" Maybe you guys should check that out. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/tongue.gif
