From the CL site, Nomad II can come with 64MB, 32MB, or 0MB ($329, $229, $99). This one has the 32MB card...

From the CL site:
http://www.nomadworld.com/products/qna.html

2. What is the price of NOMAD II?
The NOMAD II 64MB bundle SRPs for $329.99
The NOMAD II 32MB bundle SRPs for $229.99
The NOMAD II 0MB bundle w/ SmartMedia available separately will sell from the Creative website only for $99.99.

9. Why doesn’t NOMAD II include any built in memory?
Creative wanted consumers to have the flexibility to choose the amount of memory to match their lifestyle and activity. Creative offers 64MB and 32MB bundled SKUs, along with a 0MB bundled SKU for customers who already own a compliant SmartMedia™ card. There are other portable players on the market today that have kept the memory off-board, as well. Ex: Sony’s recent Memory Stick Walkman also comes bundled with a 64MB memory stick and no built in memory.

NOMAD II memory cards will be SSFDC compliant, allowing consumers the flexibility to exchange their memory cards with other devices such as digital cameras without the burden of reformatting for each use. Many portable players do not offer this feature

The Nomad II uses standard smartmedia. I think buy.com has some 32MB sm from sandisk for about $64, plus there are a few coupons floating around for buy.com...

yes it is the same as the RIO 300 though the format is different. You may need a program to restore the original sm format of the card. I think diamond has one available or you can try a program called dreaming of brazil...

ok, the nomad that they are selling does have 0 onboard with a 32 meg card, and in general...a 32 meg card costs well over the price for this nomad with a card, so what you should do is go ahead and buy these in some relative's names also, and you'll be set with a few cards and a few 0 meg versions for e-bay.

ProMinx,

Damn! Why didn't I think of that?!

Keep the SM cards and dump the Nomads on ebay...*WHACK* (smacking my forehead)
