Does anyone here know what the settings for @home mail servers are? I have mail.home.com as my Pop3(incoming) server as well as my SMTP(outgoing) server. Is this correct? I know there are a bunch of @home peeps on these boards, so if you could help me out, I would appreciate it.

Both incoming and outgoing servers should just be "mail"

Are you behind a router? If so, just "mail" won't work, you will need to know the actual server addy.

Posted by IrishSS on the forums a while back in response to a similar @Home question:
"My news server - 18.104.22.168 - Its located in Seattle, WA.
My mail server - 22.214.171.124 - Its located in Salem, Or, which is also my location."
See if these work for ya.

If you are behind a router you need to do one of two things.
1) Conect your system directly to the cable modem, reconfigure it to connect directly. There should be a folder from the @home instalation called, gee what a surprise, @home. There is a utility in there to test your conection. you can use it to ping and trace all your server conections. You should be able to find your server addresses with it.
2)Call their tech support and ask. Fast, free, easy. Just ask for the server names you should be using. Tell them you have a router as an extra firewall and need the addresses if they ask and you are worried about it.
