Hey watsup everyone! I juss got the new Nokia 3390 phone and I was wondering if anyone knew a really good site with FREE ringtones and screensavers. So far i've been to yourmobile.com and they are charging for their ringtones now, which really sucks. Post up any other useful links that may be interesting too! thanks alot!

Have reviewed a lot of the sites. Most of the pay ones let you preview for free so it should give you a good idea.

This site - http://www.andrews180.freeserve.co.uk/ lists all the notes so you just type it in.

Here is a free ring tone site - http://www.alltones.cjb.net/
(this site also features players and such to experiment with tones)

Ringtones are kind of funny things. For TDMA Nokia phones (xx2x & xx6x pretty much, like a 5165 or an 8260) they're easy enough - just do a search for TDMA ringtones and you can either email them to your phone's address or the site will do it for you. GSM (xx90) phones are a little more complex and I don't know much about them as I don't own one - I believe you need to go through some sort of SMS gateway. Dunno though... I just know that when my 5165 rings, the Simpsons theme plays lol ;p

So, is there a ring that sounds like a 1970's rotary dial telephone?

Heh, I wish... you're limited to those very very basic tones. You can't even play two tones at once. I can't wait until some manufacturer creates a phone with the simple ability to be able to play sound files as rings so you could have exactly what you wanted... probably sucks the batter though.

see above post :)

the second one is EXCLUSIVELY for Nokia 8260's... just go there, register (free), and then input your cell number including area code, and upload the tones you want :)

oh, you need to know the service... like mine is mobile.att.net

ie, if your email is [email protected] then the *** after the @ is your provider type.
