OK, be honest. :D

If you knew then, what you know now, would you still have married her/him ?

For me that would be a big fat NO!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to say yes.

On the whole, it's been great. There are moments where I wonder... but those don't come often.

I can honestly say that I have no regrets, and I'd do it all over again.

That said, I've only been married for two years, so talk to me in another five!

I would have to agree with jase71. Also, when I first was married I thought I wanted to wait a little longer, but looking back I didn't miss anything.
Doomer, sounds like you just found the wrong one. When my wife ties me in the basement with the rats, I feel that way too, but lately she's been letting me out on weekends, so it's much better.

if i could go back knowing what i know now, i would have done it a lot sooner (and all over again).

i just wish i could hurry up and get married now! i wish i were 28. sometimes i think its bad that i'm just wishing my life away and completely living for the future, but oh well. all the good stuff is gonna happen later anyway.

I would probably not do it over again-unless Mr.Melon was MEL GIBSON. although I wouldnt trade my kids for anything.

I don't belong in this thread, but I'm attempting to avoid work in any possible way...

Tuvi, you're nuts. Despite my constant problems with money, school, work, my car, my roommates, etc., I'm having the time of my life. Not because of college - I don't even like Berkeley - but just because I get to do basically whatever I want most of the time. What "good stuff" later could possibly compare to road trips, big parties, getting trashed with good friends and feeling perfectly fine the next day, and generally not having all the responsibilities you'll be burdened with later on? I love being able to get away with being selfish. I love my family and my friends, but their problems aren't really mine at the moment - if I screw up, it's only my ass that's on the line, not my kids or my spouse or anything. So you better believe I'm gonna take advantage of that. I'm headed down to LA this weekend to DJ at some rave, and I have no idea where I'm gonna sleep. But who cares? Live it up, Tuvi, you won't get to later.

Damn, I get really pretentious-sounding sometimes... Less coffee would probably be a good idea... :D

well, i don't know much about nuthin, but i must say i wouldna got knocked up if i knew everything was gonna wind up where it is now, that's for DAYUMN sure. don't know yet if everything is going to be okay (currently doubting it), but i have backed myself into a position where i cannot be financially self-sufficient, and i wouldn't have done that if, at the time, i had thought that we might ever divorce.

i agree with darkfury - kids are great, but the co-parent often isn't. you don't think about the part where having a kid keeps the other parent in your life to some degree for at least 18 years. blech.

you know, everyone is psycho. nobody gets along. everybody is selfish and unreasonable. the big joke is that we humans think that we are capable of being happily married. yeah, sure, a few people are, but as a species we need to give up on this shit cuz it ain't workin.
and i didn't sound like this just two years ago!!!!! i always secretly looked down on people with bad marriages. i thought, either you were stupid to get married to the ass in the first place, or you're being an ass to your spouse, and that's why it's bad. i was sooooo wrong.

ice-9 really hit on something - it IS really uncool that when i screw up, two other people get a load of shit dumped in their laps, too. especially bad since i keep screwing up...
