I get mine from the good people at the food network...love that channel.
By 'making dinner' I am assuming you mean microwaving. So to answer your question, I am microwaving a cup o noodles or something`

this is actually something i've been meaning to ask!
i make hummus all the time, and it is sooo much better then if you bye it. plus, it is easy.
ok, all you need are some chick peas, a bit of tahini (sesame paste), fresh lemon juice, and salt and pepper. oh yeah, and a bit of garlic.
so, first you pour a little bit of the liquid from the can of chick peas in a food processor with a tiny bit of garlic and grind that up. then, add the can of chick peas, a spoonfull of tahini, and juice from a lemon. and let the food processor do its thing.
you can add more or less lemon, tahini, garlic, s&p to taste. also, drain the chick peas before adding them. but save the juice cause if the mixuture is too dry, you need to add it till its the same consistancy.
now that you made this yummy spread, you can put it on crackers, on a sandwich, with salad, or whatever else you think would be good.

For once I actually remembered to take some chicken out of the freezer in the morning, so tonight I will be having some lemon chicken with garlic mash potatoes and broccoli. Or if I get lazy just chicken burritos a la George Foreman :)

grilled salmon in a teriyaki/honey marinade with garlic mashed potatoes. i buy the marinade pre-made, then soak the salmon in it for about an hour or so. meanwhile, boil a few potatoes with a couple of cloves of garlic. take another clove of garlic, mince it, and saute it in about a stick of butter, give or take. mash the cooked potatoes with a little of the cooking water and the garlic butter. salt and pepper to taste.
though i've had a terribly shitty day and i may just end up having one ounce of gin, poured over a tall glass of ice, topped with tonic water and garnished with a squeeze of fresh lime. faster, and less dishes to wash. :)

Had Shrimp Creole last night:
I know there's no measurements--taste as you're cooking and add more seasonings if needed.
Prep your shrimp, about 3/4 to 1 pound, by peeling, cleaning, sprinking with a little kosher salt, pepper, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
Get out your frying pan, heat to medium, melt a tablespoon or so of butter. Chop up a couple sticks of celery, a medium onion, and two bell peppers; I use red bell peppers to add color. Cook the onion and pepper for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, then add celery. Cook another minute or two. Sprinkle some black pepper and kosher salt while it's cooking, as well as a few crushed cloves of garlic. Add a 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes (with juice!), a bay leaf, about 1 tsp. cayenne pepper--more for more heat. Let come to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 12-15 minutes. Add the shrimp. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons cold water with 4 tsp cornstarch. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir well. Cook until the shrimp are pink all over and cooked through (only a couple of minutes). Serve over rice, or with a big chunk of crusty bread. O yeah, best served with beer. Nothing too heavy, but something that will quench the thirst like Yuengling lager. Mmmmmm mmmmm
