talk about crazy! I wonder how the CEO will manage to write that off...or how he'll explain it to his wife.

excaliber isn't *that* type of a dance club, but it is the trendy touristy type that attracts all the suburbanites when they come into the city. you're better off up on rush or division. i know, no one else on got|apex is in chicago, you're all out in ca right?

Get a grip. Feed them dry food. Much cheaper. If they are hungry they will eat it.

Dude when i used to waiter, this old lady gave me a quarter as tip for an 8 dollar meal, and i was at my best i mean prompt, correct with the order, i mean it was really a perfect order... and i saw her reaching into her purse as she was paying and she got exactly 8.25 and gave it to me, i gave her the quarter threw it on the table and told her to keep it so she can do laundry later.. i think she complained to the manager after that. I hate these cheap asses, the biggest tip i ever got from the lowest price, was 5 bucks from a 0.75 cent iced tea :)

Now on the other hand, my Uncle had a "wonderful" system. During the meal, he would lay out the "tip" money in dollar bills (usually at least 5). Each time he felt that the server wasn't paying good enough attention to his needs, he would take away a dollar.

That reminds me of something I used to joke about with my friends. I wanted to invent the "Popeil Tip-O-Matic". It would be a sort of vertical LED display that showed a current tip percentage. When you sat down you would punch in your starting amount (say 15%). When something above expectation is done, you can punch the + button to bump up the percentage. Likewise, there would be a - button. The clincher was the "waiting for attention" status -- it would trigger a flashing red light on top, and with each flash the displayed percentage would drop (maybe by a value of .1). The last feature would be at the end you would punch in the bill total and it would instantly calculate the tip.

Any buyers? :)
