I've got 16 hours to finish this project and then hop on a plane for a week in Acupulco.

I really want time to go fast so that I can start my vacation, but I gotta finish this project before I leave. So I'll be working all night.

I have a two day casual conference in Cuernavaca. The only reason I'm going is because school will pay for my plane fare, food, and conference hotel if it is work related. And Cuernavaca is one of my favorite cities in Mexico. Today's weather is mostly sunny with a high of 75 and a low of 56. A nice respite from the 95+ weather I'm having here.

I leave Cuernavaca on Tuesday to go to Acupulco until Saturday. We are staying at the Camino Real resort there:

I've never been, but it looks really plush. Camino Real sometimes runs a summer-time special called "More Mexico for Less". The rooms are usually 200+ per night, but on special, they were only $125. They have a private beach in the "clean" area (not entirely sure what that means, but I would prefer to be in the clean area).

Then Saturday night we'll stay in Taxco (a colonial silver mining town set on the side of a hill) and leave on Sunday.

So I'll be drinking Micheladas* starting at 11am tomorrow!

*micheladas are beers (I prefer dark) over ice with a shot of lime, a couple of drops of wostershire sauce (salsa inglesa), a dash of Tabasco, and served in a salted glass. The most refreshing drink ever!
