this is especially sad because, before the taliban gained power about 10-20 years ago, afghanistan was really doing quite well, economically and socially. women had educations, had their heads uncovered, had decent jobs, ... then it all went to POOP like something out of margaret atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. scary, cause i thought that book was pure fantasy when i first read it...

(okay, this cleaning it up for the kids POOP is harder tahn i thought it would be...)

Something to think about when all those televangelists call for a more moral government, isn't it?
Morals and laws are seperate things. We should struggle to keep morals that are not common to all religions from becoming laws.

Anyway it must suck to be them, no G|A ever... it makes me shudder!
