Living in Canada definitely has its advantages, but getting good deals like this is not one of them. Us Canadians always get jacked. Hell, even on beer.com, Labatts was giving out free glasses, and Labatts is a Canadian beer!(Owned now by Belgian Interbrew SA, but that's beside the point...) The blank CDs and the digital camera are disgusting prices...dirt cheap.

from what i hear from my sources at staples, they are really pissed off that this ad leaked before sunday. i don't know why, but they just are. and they're lookin to sue whoever leaked it to begin. I think this could have all been avoided if all u cheap skates didn't bum rush all the local staples, to "preview" the merchandise before-hand.

"Leaked" -- that's so funny. This was sent to me by Staples, in a Staples envelope. The letter that accompanied it (and a $10 off $10 coupon) clearly stated 'We've enclosed a copy of this week's flyer to give you a sneek peek at our great deals.'

Had some difficulty printing out the ad, but was able to get enough of it and paste it together. Took it to my local STAPLES here in NYC area. First store was out-of-stock but the 2nd store had one left. They did the PM with no questions whatsoever, took the $20 coupon same way, and also took a $40 STAPLES Gift Check that was about to expire. End price was $ 39.90 plus tax for a camera that THE WIZ (NYC local area discounter) has on "Sale"??? for $ 299.99.

The only better deal would be getting it for free!

Tried to get the match in NC (Raleigh) stores. Manager would not do it. Pointed out their Nationwide price matching and he still would not buy off on it. Needless to say 1-800- Staples was up on it as well and limited it to in store only in Seattle. Just asked there, did not push at all.

I couldnt quite get up in time to make it to staples before they opened. Got to the one on 15th in Seattle, they were sold out of a bunch a goodies :(
They said they had a line of 30 before they opened, and sold out of the Olympus cams right away..

I am soo stupid, that's what happens when you become greedy, i called them up and i want to get a second camera as a present for my bro, so i am like i would like to ad something to my order and the chick was like ok gimme your order number and i did, and then she is like well this should not be price matched in the first place and when it gets checked by the manager will not be aproved for a price match, would you like to cancel this order and i am like oh shit... so i am like no leave it as is please (cause it's all recorded) and she is like then you will have to pay 249.99 and i was like i have a confirmation and she is like, would you like to pay 249.99 or cancel your order and i said leave this order as is and just hung up.

Damn it, i did what a "deal virgin" would do, i am kicking myself for that nw, any thoughts about this, any help if possible

luckily i have about 10 stores kinda close...i finally found one in stock - display model but the manager confirmed he will hold it and do the PM with the copy of the flyer. i may see if i can get another 10% off as it is a display but maybe i am pressing my luck huh?

ok well, for those who printed out the ad as one piece (thru some editing), be sure to either blot out the "Seattle Exclusive" on the top, or omit that section altogether. I went to a local Staples and they pointed out that this is for New Opening in Seattle (which is not true, I think), and it's only for Seattle...

Yes, it is true, these are "Door Busters" for the Grand opening of stores in Seattle. Some Staples may still honor them, but most have been tipped off by corporate already. My local store has a brand new manager, he was going to do it but a check out girl had been to a meeting and had been told not to accept PM for "Door Busters". Luckily the new manager called online CS to check (I ordered online and went to store to PM) and the nice CSR in Canada put the PM through for me, she said she wasn't supposed to but she had kept me on hold for 15 minutes and when I told her I was holding up the check out line she said "What the Hell" and gave it to me, she even let me use a Dividends check on it and told me about the rebate. Final price around $10 after rebate.

I'm using my $130 flooz from Acer for some smartmedia cards and a reader.
