I was just reading the news on DarkFury's page (yeah,I get to leave work in 15 minutes and I really am THAT bored), and I just had to mention that you are one lucky SOB, man!
The smallest shop bill I've seen so far for my car has been $1200, and my car's not even worth half of what yours is. Damn! Guess that's what I get for driving an old German car, huh?
So anyway, the point of this thread is to ask everybody about their repair experiences - good/bad/ugly. I know everybody's got a story, and some are probably funny or educational. So let's hear 'em!

Ouch, $600. I need to get my new tires put on my car at some point - I've got a set of Michelin Pilot Sports in my basement, but I haven't mounted them because my car has just been sitting in the driveway or the shop for weeks now, and I don't want the tires developing flat spots.
I don't even want to think about my car in the snow. Apparently, Blizzak makes some good snow tires for Porsches, but I certainly can't afford a set right now. So I guess I won't be driving up to Tahoe in my car this winter.
And apparently nobody else has ever taken their car to the shop, or at least doesn't have anything interesting to say about it, huh? Paladin, do you drive the hell out of your car or did somebody screw up?

My car was in perfect condition before my accident(see my other post) and it cost me lots to get it there.
New tranny $2700

Fixing A/C around $2500!! and it was working for the first time 2 wks before accident
Stillen GTZ-R front fascia $800

Battery cable, brake master cylinder, brakes, alternator...etc. Hasn't had any problems recently before the crash. Damn I miss my car. :(
