I went to CompUSA and got the 12x TDK. When I got home I noticed that the picture in the ad shows a different cd tray than the one I purchased. I looked at the box and noticed on the tray of the drive it says 10/10/32A.
I was wondering if this is the same drive.
Also is "JustLink" the same as "Burn-Proof".
Some one please help, I am afraid to open the box. I don't want to pay a 15% restocking fee.

This is an old post. The rebate I sent in has already came back after wating 2months (they are so slow). Maybe you are looking for a defferent rebate than the one I used.

this deal isn't that good... cause the deal from before was the TDK Velo 16x CDRW drive for 129.99 and $50 rebate.

I got mine at a BestBuy grand opening and got 10% off too! Actually... they might have it at the next grand opening. This friday at Burbank i think... for those of you in SoCal.

Yeah !! Go to BestBuy and get the TDK 16X for 129.50. the $50 rebate will be expired on Dec 31, 2001. This package also includes 2 CDR(16X) and 1 of 10X CDRW and a Pen.

I already bought mine from bestbuy store. It is much better than Yamaha 16X (I also have one of this)

I already bought the TDK from CompUsa ..I gave it as a gift to my son. I just wondered if anyone had the rebate form or knew where I could find it.

darkfury and attgig,

LoL... haha... only looked at the date of the last reply... heh.

mnkypzzl, if you bought the drive more than a month ago... chances are they will not allow the rebate. (most rebates must be postmarked no later than 30 days after purchase)... but if you're talking about the 16x drive, you should be able to go into bestbuy and ask them to reprint the rebate.

See if this helps: http://www.bestbuy.com/rebatecenter/brand.asp?b=1361&name=TDK
