I am hoping to take a friend to one of the follwing theme parks in San Diego:

Sea World
San Diego Zoo
Wild Animal Park

Anyone know of any discounts for these parks? I don't want to sound like a cheap ass I want to take a date to one of these parks but two tickets are very expensive! I really like the girl but I don't want to have to break my little piggy bank if I don't have to, know what I mean ;)

Thanks!

Sea World: Regular price is $41.95. If you have a Vons club card (free, just stop by Vons to get one) you can buy tickets at the gate for $30.95. Just ask for Vons club discount. Currently this is best discount available.

San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park: buy yourself a one year membership for $66, all year long enjoy:
•1 year's FREE UNLIMITED ADMISSION to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park
•2 FREE GUEST PASSES (over $45 value)
•1 year's subscription to ZOONOOZ Magazine ($15 value).

Use the free pass for her, and you'll still have one more guest pass and your pass to go another time.

http://www.infosandiego.com/attractions.html has some minor discounts for each of the attractions. Also, http://www.sdcvb.org has discounts listed, including:
Three Attractions - One Price - Unlimited Fun
Enjoy five consecutive days' unlimited admission to San Diego's wildest attractions. Experience big savings with the San Diego 3-for-1 Pass. This valuable Pass offers unlimited access to the World-Famous San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, and SeaWorld for less than the price of one day's admission to each park...plus two free bonus days! Pay once, enjoy animal encounters for days.

Probably not good for a date, but good to know if you have friends/relatives visiting.

Hope this helps! Oh, also: http://www.sandiegoperforms.com is the ArtsTix website, in case you're ever looking for theatre discounts.

Also, many HR departments (and some offices in colleges) have discount and group cards to the local amusements. Ask around.

If you have any friends with access to the military bases in SD, amusement park tickets there are a lot cheaper w/ no sales tax either.
