I'm looking through the crucial ram...and i'm gonna build myself a tbird system with hopes of overclocking...

so, i'm looking at the PC2100 ram....these are the choices:
256MB DDR PC2100 • CL=2.5 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 2.5V • 32Meg x 64 CT3264Z265 $49.99 $44.99 $5.00 Yes

256MB DDR PC2100 • CL=2.5 • Unbuffered • ECC • 2.5V • 32Meg x 72 CT3272Z265 $60.99 $54.89 $6.10 Yes

256MB DDR PC2100 • CL=2.5 • Registered • ECC • 2.5V • 32Meg x 72 CT3272Y265 $62.99 $56.69 $6.30 Yes

Which one should i get?
what's the difference between unbuffered and registered...
i know the Ecc thing...and i guess that's good...but what's registered?

Just get the 32Meg x 64 unbuffered non-parity.
Both the others are ECC. You don't need them.

Just finished building a tbird 1.2 system. After working out the kinks and defects it is great. Just get the 256mb2100 unbuffered/non-parity: ECC may or maynot work in your board and is nice tohave, but by the time I received the newer version of my a7m266 board it nolonger recognized ECC.
"Registered" has something to do with "Buffered". Very good explanations of each can be found on the FAQ section at Crucial.com. Or call there customer service people who will gladly tell you how it works: That's what I had to do as no-one new what it was.
By the way, ECC and buffering slow down the RAM time.
