I got in on the $130 free flooz deal, and now I'm having a problem. The only store accepting flooz that had a what i wanted was J & R. So I ordered it from them. The product was the Samsung Mini-Yepp MP3 Player. It was listed as in stock and ready to ship on Thursday. It was ordered on Thursday with 2nd Day Air, and as of now, has not shipped. The shipping on this cost nearly $15 and I'm confused as to what to do. I sent them this email yesterday:

Last Thursday (7/12/2001), I placed an order for the Samsung Mini-Yepp
MP3 Player (Item No. SAM YP20T). The price on this item was $99.99, and
it was listed as being "In Stock". When ordering, I was presented with
a
number of options for the shipping of my order. I chose to go with 2nd
Day Air via UPS for $14.90. Your site says to allow 1-2 business days
for shipping, and this is the third business day. Also, your site says
it takes 1 business day to ship a rushed order. I consider Second Day
Air "Rush Delivery". What do you consider a rush order? As of Monday,
July 16, 2001, my order has not shipped. I am usually patient about
things like this, but when I pay nearly $15 to have something shipped
by
Second Day Air, I expect it to be here on the second day. My order
should have been shipped on Friday, July 13, 2001. When I called your
customer service department to find out when I would receive my order,
I
was told that it was scheduled to ship tomorrow (Tuesday 7/17/01) and
be
delivered on Thursday, July 19, 2001. When I pay nearly $15 to ship
something Second Day Air, it should not take a week for me to get it.
Please do what you can to rectify this problem, or I will not shop at
your store again.

Thank you for your inquiry. That order entered our system on Friday, 7/13/01, and we do indicate on the shipping page this warning:

Orders generally take one to two business days to process prior to shipping. Choosing 2-Day Air or 1-Day Air refers to the number of business days it takes for your order to reach you after it ships.

To try for same day shipping you should call the order in to our mail order department prior to 1 pm EST to see if it is possible based on the stock location and other factors. The stock location appears to be the delaying factor on this order, as they needed to complete an internal transfer to get it out.

What should I do? I feel that it is wrong for them to charge me so much for shipping, and would like to have it refunded, as having a delivery time of 1 week on a 2nd Day Air package is wrong and pitiful. Any ideas?

if you respond with another email, restating that you think it was unfair, and saying "look, buttmunch, i'm never going to shop with you again, and i'm telling all my friends," hopefully they will respond with a refund of shipping costs or a gc for use on a future order or something. but that's about all you can do, since they did what they said all along they would do - send it two-day air, two bidness days after you ordered.

Damn.. I was planning on placing an order with them today for some spiffy Pioneer speakers for my car, using my $130 Flooz of course. I hope I don't run into the same problems. I won't choose the speedy shipping.
