This ride definitely lived up to its title of "Best Rollercoaster on the Planet"
http://www.sixflags.com/parks/newengland/Rides/superman.html
Three of my siblings and I took our annual six flags trip today, and it was awesome! Superman was the best ride of all!
We waited 1.5 hours to get on the ride, and it was the only ride I've ever not minded waiting for. I would have waiting in the line again if my sister wasn't such a dork. If you're in New England and you love rollercoasters, this is by far the place to go! They have some other awesome coasters too- two wooden ones, and one suspended one. They kick some but too, but nothing compared to superman. The initial drop is 20 stories! its so awesome!

Do they only have it in New England? How about Northern California. Man, that is one sick looking ride. I'd love to get on that thing.

i think they have one like it at most of the six flags parks. actually the one very muchlike it at six flags over texas actually broke yesterday and the people had to walk down the huge incline.

W e have Superman: The Escape or whatever here in Southern California (Magic Mountain), but no Superman:Ride of Steel. It looks kind of like goliath though. Oh well, Viper and Batman are still the best that I've taken (although batman is too short).

ps - there really is nothing quite like riding the viper backwards...

The Superman in Six Flags So. Cal sux!! O man, you wait for 2+ hours for a ride that lasts at most 30 seconds. I would say the best coaster hands down is the Riddler's Revenge. When I went, we waited maybe an hour and half in line. Then coupla hours later, there was NO LINE AT ALL!!! Needless to say, we went twice, totalling the count to 3 (we wouldve went more, but ppl caught on, and the line was back).

as Crazyace said, its in Agawam. It used to be Riverside (which was a kinda crappy park) and was bought by Six Flags. I still call it Riverside to people up here in New England, they know where I'm talking about. Kinda like I still call the Fleet Center the Boston Garden and I go see concerts at Great Woods, not the Tweeter Center.

Sucks?? Eh?? Dude, I enjoyed Riverside 10x more than Six Flags. It wasn't the rides, it was the atmosphere. Also, the race track that Superman was built on!
Hey Orange, did you ever check out the Motorcycle Demolition derby at Riverside a few years ago (actually, they had it 3 years in a row)??

Nope, missed the derby. that would have been cool. Actually, the last time we went to Riverside when it was still Riverside, it was pretty awesome. But at that point, it was all ready owned by Six Flags, just not an actual Six Flags park. When I was little, we'd go to different amusement parks every summer- Canobie Lake, Rocky Point and Riverside. I think one of the main reasons I didn't like Riverside is that it was much farther away. I still miss Rocky Point, and Canobie Lake is a much better park to take little kids too (and a lot less expensive).
