I am stumped on what kind of amp I should get? I am gonna use it to power 2 Infinity Perfect 12's at 2 Ohms. I need the amp to push close to 350RMS. I want a relitivly good sounding and affordable AMP. Thanks for all of your help.

I really like my Phoenix Golds, although I don't know if they're in your price range. Rockford Fosgate is good, of course, and if you need cheap, the Kenwoods actually aren't too bad. I would stay away from the non-Mobile ES Sonys, and all the cheap brands like California and Earthquake. If you've got questions about a specific brand or model, post 'em and I'll ask my friends who are in the car stereo business.

I only need one channel right? So when I out them in parallel it will be 2 Ohms correct?

You run it in bridged mono on a two-channel amp - usually means you flip a switch somewhere connect the positive wire to the positive post on one channel and the negative wire to the positive post on the other channel. But some amps are different. Check your instruction manual.
For the amp that DarkFury recommended (and I'd second that, MTX amps are good), it's mono anyway, so you don't have to worry about any of that. If you do buy a stereo amp and bridge it, MAKE SURE it's stable down to 1 ohm in stereo or 2 ohms bridged. Bridging the amp means that you're running twice as heavy a load (half the impedance) as you would be in stereo, so if the amp can't take it, it'll overheat and either melt down or shut off. Bad. Get an amp that's rated to handle it. Good luck!

All I can say is Damn.
I don't have any experience with HiFonics, but if you say they're solid, I'll take your word. So what speakers you got in there now if you got rid of the Orion XTRs?
Again, I agree on the "mono-block amp for subs, multi-channel for highs" concept, although I'd trust my Phoenix Golds bridged into mono over a Kenwood mono-block amp any day.

I have a Hifonics too. I can't remember what model it is...hold on...I think it's a HiFonics Z700. I'm pretty happy with it, makes lots of sound and doesn't buzz much (obviously, I'm a car audio guy). Has yet to give me a problem!
