"All questions are required except #10 to receive your gift certificate."

Well, #10 is your email address, and there is no form for your mailing address, so how the heck are they going to send it to you? I think there is a previous part of this form that somebody isn't telling us about. This could be a scam...

IN FACT, if you view the source and scroll to the bottom, you can find "[email protected]" down as a "hidden" form field, so this probably won't work for anybody.

yeah, this one does seem kinda fishy... the last question, as mentioned before, asks:

10. Please specify what email address you would like us to send communications to, if it is different than the one you opted in with:

The one I "opted in with?" seems like we're missing part of the form or something... but we'll see. it'll be nice to have a $10 discount at amazon... thanks!

I'm confused ... do you guys see an email address already put in question #10? Where did you get this email that you are inquiring about?

Permission Policy

This system powers permission-based marketing on the Internet, sending personalized messages from companies to their customers.

The transmission of unsolicited commercial email is expressly forbidden through this system.

How do we avoid "spam"?

We encourage companies to use the system for communicating to individuals with whom they already have a relationship. When using additional sources of information, companies may only send email to individuals who have expressly shared their address for the purpose of receiving offers and information in the future (Often called opt-in lists).

We encourage companies to personalize their communication with information that indicates they have an existing relationship with their customer/s.

If companies use an external source for communication data, we require those companies to state the source of their customer data at the end of every message sent through the system. This indicates to the recipient how the sender acquired the recipient's information.

We encourage companies to respect their customers' time and attention by controlling the frequency of mailings to individual email addresses.

How do we protect your privacy?

We use security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used by our system.
How can you stop a company from sending you more email?

Each email sent through the system contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving email from that sender. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of any email sent through this system.
If you have received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via this system or purporting to be sent via this system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to [email protected] for review.

the message was sent out by digital impact or one of those e-mail marketing guys. if you look at the URL the code is specific to the user it was sent to... it is a unique URL. So no one except Indian Mo' is going to get the $. And I'll bet when they evaluate their statistics, they are going to see that this particular message got a few thousand responses, which I think is incredibly funny. It can be mis interpreted in so many ways.

You can see the Yahoo guy's email address if you load up the page then go to View->Source (Or just rightclick and select view source), scroll down the page and look for the hidden form fields, then you will see his.

I'm sure they only let you take it once per email address, so they are probably just getting a bunch of funky responses....

I wish a moderator would remove the URL up top since this is probably most definitaly not going to work for anyone.

"This survey is intended for individuals who have previously opted in to receive Motorola iDEN communications, and have consequently received the Survey Email directly from Motorola. If you did not receive an email directly from Motorola, you are not eligible to receive an Amazon.com gift certificate."

If you did not receive an email directly from Motorola, you are not eligible to receive an Amazon.com gift certificate.

How would they know the difference though??

I hope I get the GC. My mom likes to buy books and crap from Amazon.
