Greetings Apex Hardware gurus. I have a question for you. A person I was talking to recently mentioned that his school was using a Beowulf cluster. They run tests or something oin it. When he mentioned this to me I was like "uhh....that was a good book" with a bit of sarcasm, to which he responded by looking at me with a stone face, and proceed with the next question. Could any of you help me out and tell me, in psuedo computer language what a Beowulf cluster is? I kind of figured it was a series of computers that work together to work on some calculations or something like that. How far am I off?

Muchas thanks.

it's basically a bunch of computers networked together and work together.

You can think of it like SETI, or Dcypher, or the cancer I guess.....it's kinda like that. A whole bunch of CPUs working together towards one goal.
