i have a 30 gb hdd that i need to clear, and i FERGOT how to plz help me out

Well, you can either:

A) In DOS, fdisk and format the drive.

or

B) Use the utility disk that came with your hard drive.

Honestly, how can Tux be your hero if you forget how to do this? Have you even touched Linux before?

tux iz my hero but i was droped on my head head as a baby

1. i dont have a boot disk and 2. the disc that came with the hdd iz crap 3. windows wont boot because of the crap on the hdd i paid 70 fer this hard drive and i dont really feel like loosin it fer nuthin, 30gb seagate hdd

try asking someone you know that has win 98 running on their pc then copy their boot disk..maybe create a start up disk from windows add remove components...

I think you can boot off the windows cd. Then just do FDISK from there.

i get fdisk working and when i tell it to delete partition or anything else for that matter it freezes MORE HELP NEEDED

are you using FDisk off a Windows98 boot floppy disk or a Windows CD?

300w psu
dlink nic
trio-8mb vid

windows wont load because of the crap on the disk

o and i paid about $300 fer everythin
