I haven't had a bad sunburn in a really long time, but now I do. I'm really red (tike for the albino jokes to surface...)! I'm just wondering how long it usually takes for a bad sunburn to fade. This one hit me on Saturday, and now it's tuesday morning...and there is barely any change.

You white people crack me up. :D
Depending on how bad your sunburn lasts, it should be between 4 days to (and this is if you have heat welts and blisters all over you) 3 weeks. Enjoy!

Head to a Walmart or a Walgreens and get some
Panama Jack's Sunburn stuff... it's a gel kinda
stuff that looks like a hair gel. Should be by the
sunscreen stuff.
But it numbs the pain a lot, and it also keeps
your skin from drying out, so you either don't
peel, or don't peel nearly as badly.
I was skeptical about it, but I got fried
last summer, and my wife made me use it
to shut me up. The stuff really helped a lot.

I grabbed this crap, "Sooth-a-Caine" from the store two days ago. It is mainly aloe, but it has some lidocaine (the same thing that dentists shoot into your mouth when they lie and call it "novocaine" which has been illegal for at least a few decades) in there too to numb the burn. The first time I put that crap on...I was expecting instant relief, and instead I almost screamed in pain. I don't know what the hell is to blame, but for some random reason...this stuff burns like hell when applied to my sunburn. It feels cool to my unburned hands...but then when I rub it on my chest, there is like a 30 second delay and then my eyes dilate in pain. I've used aloe before, I am a big mint addict, and I've taken lidocaine shots from the Dr. before...and these are supposedly the only ingredients in this stuff...but if I hadn't used all of that stuff before, I would've blamed it on an allergic reaction. I have NO CLUE what is going on here. I thought that the pan might just be because I was drawing attention to the area by rubbing it...but when I rub water on the burns, it feels really good. Let's just say that whenever I see that bottle of "Sooth-a-Caine" I quiver in fear.

Sunburn is bad...
Falling alseep under the sun and getting major sunburn is worse...
Falling asleep on you side under the sun and getting major sunburn only on one side of your whole body is just suckage straight out of hell....

LOL you guys are so funny. Once I sprayed this "No Rub" Sun Screan spray on my back and I got burnt a bit and I was being called lobster boy by my sister, They all thought it was pretty funny. I had circle blotches on my back where I did'nt rub it in.

My sunburns last about 1 to 3 days if I keep putting Aloe on them. Just get a pure aloe gel and smear it on 3 or 4 times a day. It doesn't sting, it soothes it a little, but it makes it heal fast.

just KEEP putting aloe on it. the major thing is keeping it moisturized..

yeah i am a white-boy redhead. One time i went camping (as a rebellious teen) and when my mom offered to put the sunscreen on for me, i wouldn't let her. so i thought i got it myself, but the next day my back was bright red except for two perfect handprints... sunburn = major suckage
