ValueWeb (www.valueweb.com). It's $19.95 a month, but it's an awesome host. If you are looking for something under $10, good luck. You get what you pay for.

www.virtualis.com (http://www.virtualis.com) is a good one... for $36/month you get a domain name, 30mb, 24 hour tech, multi-T3 connection, CGI, frontpage extensions, pop3, full daily backup, 1 gig per day transfer to your site...can you tell i'm reading this all off their site yet? http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

I used to use Host Pro, $29.00 a month had good price and services when it was working, bad customer service, says its opne 24/7(not in a row stupid..)just like any other "virtual" service provider out there no notification if there is a problem with your site and if you are using a dynamic website make sure you can perform your own offsite hourly backups, most only do daily backups.

And like it was stated before you get what you pay for. The cheaper the service the less they care to service you. Most work on volume and the service provider actually shares servers(racks) to many users depending on how many ports they have available, and the good ones even include port balancing, but most of the time you have to pay extra for that.

Another cheap one I've seen is Interland.com for $19.95 with $40 setup fee.
Their link is http://www.interland.com/

Good Luck...

25Mb of webspace. Free, or $5 a month if you don't want their ad banner at the top of the page.

Right now I'm using SilenTech.com for 100/yr.

I had to e-mail them because they're pay link was down, but they sent me an e-mail with a new pay link for just me. It's been a good deal for me, maybe you should check them out.

I was wondering the same thing, chosenfool. The web sites always up, even with his big huge Ultimate Bulletin Board Script and his Newspro script for the front page... Must be some great host.

I use www.digiweb.com (http://www.digiweb.com)

$20/month plus $10/month off if you have a certain number of its to your page with their logo on it.

Unlimited POP, traffic, and 50 MB.

Good stuff!

BhCom.com They own 4domains.com will host 135 (W/ domain reg.) a year it seems they are down oncew a month at 2am-4am for reboot/maintance, yet no one in their right mind is gonna look for a business at that time... Doesn't bother me at all.

sometimes your local ISP is a good way to go. mine offers all the bells and whistles plus registers your domain name for you for like $150/year.. that's about $10/month after internic charges.

THE best webhost I have ever deal with is Webaxxs.net which is owned by OLM.NET They have a CNET special (when you phone to sign up, tell them that you want to get the special price). For $19.95 you get 550 megs of webspace, 10 gigs of transfers, full referrer logs and a slew of other options. The only problem is, no cold fusion. Other than that, I wouldnt switch to another webhost, even if they paid ME to host my site there. 24/7 tech support, lighning fast access & servers, and absolutely ZERO downtime. Make sure you check them out. We host bigbigsavings.com there and will have our own server on their systems within a month.

Isn't $20-30 kinda high? Anyone use Nomonthlyfees.com? I'd love if anyone has feedback

I pay 9.95 /month at addr.com. They're ok, I don't do a LOT of webstuff, but it's decent and basic enough.

My site is using nomonthlyfee.com Their service seems to be good. Online tech support is fast. But they seem to be slightly slower than some other web host. But then again i don't have to pay a monthly fee.
