Time to put in a CD-RW. First choice til now has been Plextor, probably will stay first but???? Has anyone had experiance with the CenDyne cd-rw's? Their 16/10/40 is avilable to me, retail, for $130 and is very tempting.
Now, it wasn't even a consideration until reading a forum entry implying cross-labeling (rebadging) Plextor and Ricoh cd-rws: Might this be such a machine? How would I tell?
If yu haven't read my other posts, my system is a 1.2tbrd/266,A7M266,512mbddr,gf3(YES Virginia, there is a Santa Claus-in June-and he delivered!), 30gb Maxtor DMax+60,
Antec SX840/w400watt ps.

Been gone awhile, a little medical suprise as in heart by-pass surgery, but am back. Thanks everyone for your input. Ended up with the new TDK velocd 24/10/40. The reason: $134.99 at Costco (boy, I think they messed up on the price, but Oh Well). Haven't messed with it much, but will have some questions later re. copying game disks for my other computer.

So is the 12x10x32 BurnProof CD-RW for $79.99 After Rebate on the deals page a pretty good deal?

I know next to nothing about CD-RW but would like to get one. Just don't know which one.

TIA,

Greg

While Plextor is the undisputed king o' burners, I'm entirely happy with my Mitsumi. It works with CloneCD and costs about half of what a Plextor does. Not a coster yet, in probably 75 tries.

I just bought a Cendyne 12X CDRW from Amazon. I got the deal from http://www.techbargains.com/ . It is $100 -use a $15 coupon code: AMZNAMEXBMVD and the drive has a $20 rebate. So, $91 out of pocket after shipping and $71 after rebate.

Apparently, these are 12X LiteOn OEM drives. I need a CDR that can do CLONECD and had BurnProof, and these do both.
