Sigh, I hate that feeling where you wake up, and stare at the clock in disbelief wondering how you managed to do it AGAIN. Maybe I have to buy an actual alarm. I think they're kind of a nuisance though so I usually just use the alarm on my 8290. I swear that thing gets quieter every day. I wish there was a way to turn up the volume on the ringer. Hmph. I've tried using the scheduled tasks on my computer to set off mp3s but I usually just end up falling back asleep to whatever music it's playing. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to explain missing work again. Any suggestions on a better alarm?

Buy a radio alarm clock like everybody else. Set it to the most obnoxious station in your area. For example: If you can't stand Howard Stern and he is on in your area about the time you need to get up, set your radio to that. Remember to place it all the way across the room if you have trouble getting up. I found a trio of morons on a local SanDiego show that never fail to piss me off in the morning. It gets me ready for the day, I approach it with an increadable hate for life. It's too cool.

I didn't know that anyone actually used their cell phone as an alarm clock .. however, most ppl also tell me that they manage to sleep through the alarm too.

There was a time in HS when I had the alarm right next to my bed . . . I had it as loud as it would go . . . it would NOT wake me up. It was not like I was hitting snooze or anything . . . my mother would get so fed up from hearing it from the other side of the apartment that she would actually get up and turn it off for me and wake me up. After a few weeks of that, I just got a new alarm clock and it worked like a charm. I think you just tend to get used to the sound after a while and it doesn't really do any good anymore.

Haha, thanks for the concern.
Yeah...I guess I should find a radio station that I can't stand and set a radio alarm to it. Maybe I could find some Neil Diamond mp3's and schedule them to play in the morning. That'd get me up...but then again, if I managed to sleep through it...the terrible nightmares it would cause .

alarms are the biggest joke..
I currently have 3 radio alarms (used to be 5), another clock alarm, my stereo, and my computer...
They're all placed strategically around my room...and set strategically at 2 minute intervals.
it still takes me at least 1/2 hour to get tired of pressing snooze over and over again...
and then there's times that I just forego the snooze, and just switch it off...=(
those are the days I need to think of excuses =(.

Maybe I should just consider going to sleep earlier...
